Canadian reaction to Tsunami
It was just amazing!
When the Candian government pledged CA$3 million, the Canadian public was furious! The hammered their government with complaints until the government raised it to CA$30 million. The government also pledged to match every dollar donated by individuals in the country until January 11th... and the race began; by the time we arrived at the Canadian Red Cross to make our donation, Canadians have already raised CA$65 million!
Kids and adults across the land committed themselved to raising thousands of dollars! The other day, we saw a 5 year old on the news selling her colorings for a dollar each to raise money for the cause! We saw other 10-year-olds selling lemodate on the side walks, and adults standing in malls collecting even pennies!
It is really impressive! God bless them all :)
