In the mood to communicate

An old friend from school stumbled over my blog, and then got in touch with me this afternoon.

It's been a really long time since we have spoken, and there was a lot to catch up on... it was so much fun talking to her.

Hala, I am really happy we are back in touch :) hope we can keep it up!

Now, I am in the mood to communicate with everyone I know :) I am going through my address book to see if there is anyone (and believe me there are a lot of people) I have not been in contact with... this is fun! I love sending and receiving e-mails :)

Yeah, it is amazing isn't it? A few days back I decided to email everyone on my address book with belated Eid greetings. I was very happy with the replies- people I haven't talked to since 1998, and who have absolutly no idea what, where, and how my life is at the moment. Human relationships are fascinating- you're so engrossed into a person's life at one moment and then poof, it all fades away and its as if they never were.
Scary.

hey toujan..Hi Roba
well...I know excately what you mean with:

"you're so engrossed into a person's life at one moment and then poof, it all fades away and its as if they never were"

My fiance and I ended a two year relationship almost a month ago now... this sentence you said sums up my life at this point.

I happen to have communicated with my long lost best friend from AUC...he reminded me of things I used to say to him when he felt down about life...
The notion of history in and of itself was comforting...the idea that I've known someone for 7 years now and he is still in my life is amazing...The idea that someone could say to you "I still remember in 1998 when you told me about..."

the idea that you've made a difference in someone's life, and they still remember specifically what you said that day...Thank you God!

Seize the moment ladies, you never know what's coming up next...could be good or bad...but it doesn't matter...SEIZE THE DAY!

Surviving,
NoNoSs

Hello Toujan, (and Roba and Janine)

I must apologize for my comment... I feel as though I am soliciting your help. I just stumbled upon your blog and I thought you might be able to help spread the word about the injustice done to Bassim Chmait.
