The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear

The CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation) air a documentary every evening at around 7:00 p.m. Pacific time. Tonight, they featured part one of the hit BBC 2004 documentary "The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear".

The documentary explains how the myth of terrorism was created by American politicians, and how, unfortunately, they grew to believe their own lies, and even went to the extent of basing their entire culture and political actions on fear.

Movie recommendation: Shine

The movie "Shine" is definately a must-see in my opinion.

It's about a pianist who, driven by his father and teachers, breakdown, but serves to prove how delicate the human brain is, and how vulnerable our sanity, which we tend to take for granted, can be!My heart melted as I watched the movie... I hope you like it too!

So, the world population is exploding, and now we have to exapnd to the sea?? I still don't get it, given that Canada is a contenent with only 30 million people as a population, and that the US has miles and miles of empty lands (which they prefer to keep empty!!).
